    Visiting researcher from the University of Aberdeen

    Joseph William Burnett, a PhD researcher from our collaborating lab in the University of Aberdeen has successfully completed his 2-week visit. A lot wonderful work and discussions are ongoing on catalysis and life cycle assessment. Thanks Joe and Xiaodong!

    New program awarded - AMDM

    The Accelerated Materials Development Programme http://acceleratedmaterials.org/ formally kicked off! Dr. Wang is serving as the Deputy Program Director to organize many initiatives of machine learning in materials science.

    Successful Workshop: AI-in-MatSci

    August 31, 2018

    Dr. Wang organized with the team a workshop on “AI for MatSci”. 144 attendees from A*STAR and IHLs found the hands-on workshop useful to build up a ML knowledge, enhance programming skills and apply them in classic domains. The next workshop is planned 16 November, 2018 at NUS. Keep tuned and we look forward to seeing you there!

    Smart Factory Tour

    Part of our team visited the Model Factory@SIMTech to learn how the Industry 4.0 and AI technologies are promoting industry development. We will have continuous collaboration with A*STAR's Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology (SIMTech) through research projects and students training.

    Conference WCCE-ESCAPE

    October 1-5, 2017

    Dr. Wang attended the 10th World Congress of Chemical Engineering (WCCE10) and 27th European Symposium on Computer-Aided Process Engineering (ESCAPE-27) - held at Barcelona, Spain, and presented a talk on “Waste-Energy-Water systems in sustainable city development using the resilience.io platform”.

    Conference Panel REM

    October 28-20, 2017

    Dr. Wang was invited to the Applied Energy Symposium and Forum: REM2017 in Tianjin and organized a panel entitled "From clean energy research into innovation" with worldwide energy researchers.
